Hp 410 Storage Controller Driver
I have an HP DL380 G6 and a few HP SAS drives that is new and just burning in (so no OS loaded). Out of curiosity and a hankering to get some cheap storage, I took out one of the HP SAS drives from its tray, put in a SATA drive(*) and stuck it back into the HP.
I was hoping that it would be recognized but it was not.
Can one not mix and match SAS and SATA drives using this controller?
The intent was to have a cheap 500GB laptop drive in there for inexpensive storage (e.g. to have some space for backing up data or goofing around.)
(*) it was technically a SATA SSD, not a SATA laptop drive; I happened to have it lying around.

HP P410i RAID on ESXi 6.5 Host - Any way to view data?
I have an HP DL580 G7 with a P410i RAID controller running ESXi 6.5.0. When I go to Hardware -> Monitor -> Storage I just see an error message and no data. I've tried installing two vims from HP for this storage controller and restarted, but that made no difference. Any ideas?
