Steps to Use Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite AMD Processor on VMware on Windows

Step 1: Extract Image File with Winrar or 7zip

Download and extract the Niresh Yosemite 10.10 AMD image file. To extract you will need to have Winrar, 7Zip or any other unzipping software. Simply right-click on the downloaded image and select “Extract here”.

Step 2: Install VMware Player or Workstation

Download VMware Player (free) from the official website and double click on the .exe file to install it. You will be guided through the entire installation process by the installation wizard. This process is really easy and will only take a moment or so. .

Edit the virtual machine. To do this, click on “Edit virtual machine settings”. Under the hard disk section, select “Harddisk (Sata)” and click on “Remove”. This removes the existing hard disk so you can add the bootloader AMD disk.

To add Bootloader AMD, click on Hard disk and then “add”. Click on “Use an existing virtual disk” and browse to the Bootload for AMD.vmdk file.

Now you need to add the Niresh Yosemite disk. Click on hard disk and then “Add”. Select the type as SATA and then choose “Use an existing virtual disk”. Browse to the extracted Mac OS X Yosemite Niresh Intel and AMD.vmdk.

After adding the two, ensure that the bootloader is the first in order followed by the Yosemite Niresh hard disk. Click “OK”.

Step 5: Edit Your Virtual Machine

Under the Memory and Processors tabs, make options as you wish. Set up the amount of RAM and processor you would like to set up for the virtual machine. Under Network, select NAT.
